You will find the model number on a sticker or rating plate. This can usually be found on the underside of the appliance, and can be very hard to get at. You will more than likely will need to either remove the hob or the oven below it to gain access to view the model number. You may have draws or a cupboard below the hob, you might find it easier to remove the draws than trying to remove the hob. Alternatively if you have an oven below the hob, you would normally need to remove a couple of screws to slide the oven out before you can get underneath with a torch to see the model number for your hob.
Model numbers for hobs can be made up of numbers or a combination of letters and numbers, for example 1003220 or PKE611C17E, and may also include characters such as a slash (/) or a dash (-).
