PLEASE NOTE 

These thermostats are are slightly different from other common thermostats. They do not click when you turn the shaft at ambient temperatures, they are designed to operate between 120°C and 190°C as they are not used to switch the unit on and off. Valentine fryers have a separate on off function. The thermostats that we stock are genuine EGO thermostats that are factory calibrated to cut off all three poles at around 190°C. Genuine OEM Valentine thermostats are calibrated by Valentine Fabrique in Switzerland to reduce the power consumption to the elements in stages just prior to the maximum oil temperature being reached. By reducing the element power, the oil temperature will not excessively overheat. The 7th pin on these thermostats is also used to operate the temperature indicating lamp that has been fitted to Valentine fryers since the 1980’s. If a none OEM thermostat is fitted to a Valentine fryer it will not be operating at it's optimum design and efficiency unless it is calibrated correctly. Ego thermostats can be calibrated to offer very accurate oil temperatures. Specialist spare parts should always be diagnosed, installed, calibrated and tested by a suitably qualified engineer.
